Slippage Tolerance

What It Controls

Maximum price movement you'll accept during swap execution:

  • Protects against unfavorable price changes
  • Balance between execution success and price protection
  • Applies to all trades (buy, sell, limit orders)

Understanding Slippage

Example with 5% slippage:

Token price when you click: $1.00
Maximum you'll pay: $1.05
If price exceeds $1.05 → Trade fails (protects you)

How to Change

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Slippage Tolerance
  3. Select preset or tap Custom
  4. If custom, enter percentage (0.1-99)
  5. Confirm selection

Slippage Settings

Image Description: Slippage settings screen showing:

  • Information box explaining slippage
  • Preset buttons: 1%, 5%, 10%, 15%
  • "Custom" button
  • Warning for high slippage values
  • Back button
Token TypeRecommended SlippageRationale
High Liquidity1-2%Stable prices, tight spreads
Medium Liquidity2-5%Most common
Low Liquidity5-10%Higher price impact
Very Low Liquidity10-15%Necessary for execution

WARNING

Slippage vs Price Impact:

  • Slippage: Maximum price change you accept
  • Price Impact: How much your trade moves the price
  • High slippage doesn't mean you'll get worse prices. It just allows trades in more volatile conditions
